Hello!
It’s that time of year again, school’s almost out! My little guy is heading off to grade 2, I can’t even believe it!
Ry’s teacher is amazing which inspired me to create with her in mind.
I pulled out my Lawn Fawn “Thanks a bushel” stamp set and paired it with lined and floral pattern paper. To create a chalkboard I used white embossing powder on black card stock and cut a frame with wood grain pattern paper. It’s hard to tell in the picture but the anti-static tool left a very cool chalky effect. And of course I had to add lots of shine with my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Marker.
I had lots of apples left over which was perfect for a bonus card! Card #2 has the same chalkboard feature but I decided to pair it with stripes. I added Glossy Accents to the apples for a little dimension which finished the card off perfectly.
With teacher gifts out of the way, it’s time to talk summer time fun – what’s your plans?
