Exclusive New Scrapbook.com Stencils | Quick Backgrounds for Christmas & Bonus Valentine's Day Cards

Hi everyone! Life has been a wild ride lately but I was super excited to sneak away to my craft room to cross off my Christmas card list and get a jumpstart on Valentine's Day! I needed five cards fast and luckily I had brand *New* Exclusive Scrapbook.com stencils on hand to create vibrant backgrounds. I absolutely love these whimsical designs and the size (6 X 8) is perfect for card makers. Here's a look at a few of the styles:

I started by die cutting 5 card bases using an A2 sized stitched rectangle with Bristol Smooth and Kraft card stock.

Next, I stamped all the main images and coloured them in using Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers.

Now it's time to get inky! Most of the backgrounds are ink blended using Distress Oxide and Catherine Pooler inks. Before getting started I secured the stencils to the card front using Purple tape (Pixie Spray works great as well!).

Once I was happy with the blend, I added some bits and pieces from Heffy Doodle to set the scene.

For the second card, I decided to heat set the snowflakes using blue embossing powder. Be sure to treat your surface with an anti-static tool. I usually have a fine clean paintbrush handy to sweep away any stray powder. To finish off the cards I added coordinating sequins and glossy accents to the winter accessories and coffee steam.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I had SO much fun creating with these new stencils I even got a head start on Valentine's Day Cards, here's a little peek:
