Today I'm so honoured to participate in the Paper Crafters Unite Against Racism Blog Hop! The goal is to stand behind our crafty sisters and brothers of colour not just in the craft industry, but also to show our support in the never-ending fight for equality all over
the world.
I was inspired to create this card using the free digital download called You Matter To Me from Three Room Studio.
I'm new on the digital stamp scene so there was a learning curve figuring out print settings. I ended up using Canva to create an A2 sized document and placed the digital sentiment in the centre. Next, I printed the image along with the sentiment on one page. I then used a stitched rectangle die to create the card front. To finish off the background I found a pretty floral 6x6 pattern paper sheet and die cut a stitched dome in the centre.
For the main images, I coloured them using Spectrum Noir TriBlend markers, check out my colour guide below. Feel free to save it for future reference if you're on the lookout for different combos.
To finish off the card I adhered everything into place and added coordinating sequins.
There are so many amazing designers taking part today, be sure to check them out! The next stop on the hop is Amber Rain Davis. You can find more info about the hop, ways to help and a full list of participants over at Justine's Blog here.
